Paul Nusbaum
My educational background is as follows. I received a BA in Management, with Honors, from Sonoma State University, with an additional major in Psychology. I attended the University of Southern California, receiving an MSW from the Graduate School of Social Work. While there I was a Faculty Interaction Coordinator, and a Student Government Liaison. I served as a Los Angeles County Commissioner representing the disabled, where I voted on issues regarding federal and state law, and made policy recommendations to the L.A. County Board of Supervisors. I completed an internship with Security Pacific National Bank as Employee Assistance Program Counselor, counseling employees with personal problems and facilitating peer support workshops. While at USC I served as a Staff and Faculty Counselor, and practiced short term crisis intervention. I worked with Jewish Family Services delivering individual, family, and group therapy. I served as a psychiatric assistant and led substance, family, and physical abuse therapy, at Del Amo Hospital.
