Paulo Faustini

I was born into an Italian-Brazilian family of singers and music teachers in São Paulo, Brazil, and have been a professional singer, voice teacher, and choral conductor for over 25 years. I maintain a private voice studio in Philadelphia, and work with singers of different backgrounds, including talented high school vocalists and young adults looking to prepare for a career in singing, as well as avocational choral singers. Many students have been accepted into the major conservatories in the country such as Eastman School of Music, Westminster Choir College, The Juilliard School, Indiana University, Peabody Conservatory of Music, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I was voice faculty at Westminster Choir College and Westminster Conservatory in Princeton, NJ, and artist faculty at The Hotchkiss Summer Portals Vocal Program in Lakeville, CT. I have performed with The New York Choral Artists at Lincoln Center, The Philadelphia Singers, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Berkshire Opera Company, Opera Company of New Jersey, and for many years performed at the Spoleto Festival USA and Italy, in numerous operatic productions of Gian Carlo Menotti, and performed with Joseph Jennings and members of CHANTICLEER at their workshop in Sonoma. I hold a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance "with distinction" as well as a Bachelor of Music in Church Music from Westminster Choir College. I am founder and artistic director of UMBRIAN SERENADES: Choral & Cultural Tastings in the Green Heart of Italy, a 12 day choral and cultural summer program based in Spoleto, Umbria, for professional and amateur choral singers, and run the program's Art Song recital series at Casa Menotti. In addition to devoting my life to the singing and choral art, in 2004 I received a certificate from The Wine School of Philadelphia, have completed many wine courses on Italian wines, and visited many wineries throughout the regions of Umbria and Tuscany, Italy.
