Paul Pollard-Fraser

I have spent most of my working life in sales.

I started by selling fax machines. I got a job with a GEC company called GEC Reliance. There history was in telecomunications selling telphone systems. I joined them when they started there fax division. I remember we all went on a course in Northampton and it was there that I leanrt to sell. I sat the Zerox "Professional Sellling Skills II" I learnt all about Feature, advantage, Benefit and ABC "Always be closing" I got my first company car, an orange Astra Estate and off I went. Back in those days fax machines were as big as a family suitcase, cost £4,300 each and you had to sell them in pairs. Those were the early days. I was soon head hunted to go to a dealer and became the top salesman in the company.
