South Florida, USA

I'll be 68 on my next birthday, Oct 1. Not much has changed this year, EXCEPT in Dec 2013, I found out that I NO LONGER need a liver transplant. That is because I quit Sam Adams and all of his cousins, as well as Vitamin Victor-that's Vodka for the uninitiated. Also, I very likely will not need a kidney unless it gets so bad that I have to start dialysis.

I'm still retired. My wife Kathy & I live in the paridise of South Florida, USA. I am a life time learner, & I've been lucky enough to travel the world extensively while in the Navy & also with my spouse. I’m a well read, opinionated, registered Republican.

Before retiring, I was an Information Systems Project Manager. I got my start in data collection & reporting in the Navy in 1966 when computers were the size of a refrigerator & had less computing power than today's Smart phones. I gained most of my computer experitise during my 20 year stint retiring as a Senior Chief Data Processing Technician in 1986.

I no longer need a liver and a kidney transplant. But, I STILL keep my chin up and look at the positive side of things always thinking that the glass is always have full. Goodness knows that I kept the glass full of vodka for a lot of my adult life. THAT IS NO LONGER TRUE AS I QUIT DRINKING IN ORDER TO LIVE. AND, I STILL am keeping a positve attitude keeping me two-steps, now probably a lot further away from taking the dirt nap.

I STILL generally follow all sports, but mainly I am a baseball nut and a football fanatic. I'm originally from Connecticut, so like my grandfather and father before me, I am a lifelong New York Yankee fan. This year, I began to seriously root for the Miami Marlins. Because they were the only team televised at the time to the islands, I started following and rooting for the San Francisco 49ers in 1970 while stationed in Hawaii.

I always enjoy people. I will talk your head off if given a chance. I cherish the relationship's I have established throughout my life. I still maintain contact with people I was stationed with in 1966 on board the U.S.S. AMERICA and many, many more from my Navy career.

I hope my BLOG has some interest for you. Along the way, I hope that I can leave a few sage words of advice or express a viewpoint that inspires someone to better themselves or to help others. GOD BLESS!
