Paul Sallaberry

Paul Sallaberry serves as a venture partner with Jafco Ventures, where he capitalizes on three decades of experience in the technology industry. Over the course of his career, Paul Sallaberry has held a number of senior operating roles at some of the nation’s most successful technology companies and has developed an expertise in international sales and marketing. Before assuming his current position, he was a Senior Executive with Veritas Software and played an instrumental role in expanding the company’s sales from less than $50 million to more than $1.5 billion by creating a unique global distribution model. During his tenure at Veritas, Paul Sallaberry also expanded the worldwide sales team from 200 to more than 2,600 through the acquisition of Seagate Software. Prior to Veritas, he functioned as the senior vice president of sales at OpenVision Technologies and as the vice president of Oracle Corporation’s Vertical Industries Division.
Through Jafco, Paul Sallaberry has served on a number of technology company boards, including those of Ocarina Networks (Dell) and Mimosa Systems (Iron Mountain). At present, he sits on the boards of Moovweb, Calypso Technologies, LiveMagic, and Acquia. In addition, he acts as an advisor to several other notable companies, including Pure Storage and Liquid Robotics.
Due to his expertise, Sallaberry is frequently invited to speak before business school audiences at Stanford University and the University of California, Los Angeles. He works closely with his alma mater, U.C. Davis, as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Graduate School of Management and the U.C. Davis Foundation Board of Trustees.
