An experienced youth athletics administrator with a master’s degree in physical education from Queens College in Flushing, Paul Savramis served multiple decades working to improve basketball camps and clinics for instructional basketball. A top clinician and trainer for both Nike and Converse Paul Savramis founded the Eastern Invitational Basketball Camps in 1980. He went on to collaborate with dozens of other camps and clinics including the Swiss All Stars Camps, Future Stars, and the Michael Jordan Camps.
Paul Savramis is best known for the creation of the Rising Stars Youth Foundation a yearly extension of his efforts with summer camp programs that promoted education through athletics.
The programs three core principals' of PLAY LEARN GROW were recognized both by the White House and the New York State governor’s office as one of the top educational based programs of its kind.
Before founding Rising Stars in 1996, Savramis also directed physical education at the Westchester Day School in Westchester County, New York, and provided lifeguard and water safety instructor training for the American Red Cross.
From his current home on Long Island, Paul Savramis is continuing his work with Rising Stars as President and director of outreach. Savramis remainsa active and always looking for additional opportunities to serve regional youth.
He is particularly interested in continuing his work in the history of basketball and the role of sports and play in early childhood development and overall education.
