Paul Simms

I have two goals.

The first is to help the pharmaceutical industry focus on more personal, preventative and pro-active treatment. I guide healthcare and pharma companies as they design themselves around their patient and societal needs. I believe strongly in improving access to medicine, closing the gap between scientific discoveries and safely getting them to the people who need them. Since 2003 I have been Chairman of eyeforpharma, a pharmaceutical and healthcare intelligence company with offices in London and New York, allowing me to pursue this agenda. We are well-known to have created a 'movement', now embraced by most pharma CEOs who attend our events, towards a more patient-centric design.

The second goal is to create exciting and comfortable places to live. I enjoy finding derelict properties and land to renovate and redevelop. Since mid-2013 I have developed more than 15 properties containing over 60 bedrooms; from a mixture of commercial and residential beginnings, and now employ a team of 5. Some of these properties are sold on, but most are held rented. I fund these developments with private investors who receive excellent returns or joint ventures; please contact me if you would like to benefit.

I have helped create several London-based fast-growing companies including Streetcar (now Zipcar UK), WrapItUp and FreshMinds.

In previous lives I have been a graphic & web designer, creator of a student entrepreneurship network, a wedding photographer, a teacher, an architect and a pianist.
