After 14 years working in the baseball industry -- seven with the Colorado Rockies and seven with FanGraphs -- I opened my own independent bookstore in West Acton, Mass.: The Silver Unicorn Bookstore in March of 2018.

Prior to opening The Silver Unicorn, I served as a writer and editor for FanGraphs and The HardballTimes, and I was the managing editor of the latter. I edited and/or produced six editions of "The Hardball Times Baseball Annual," as well as the baseball-centric novel "When the Sparrow Sings."

I have also written for Boston.com, the Boston Globe, ESPN the Magazine, ESPN.com MLB Insider, Pitchfork, Baseball Prospectus, BP's book "Mind Game," MLB.com, Fox Sports, SB Nation, Lindy's and many other publications. I'll always think of myself as a writer and editor, but books are my life now. In addition to owning and operating The Silver Unicorn, I am also the curator or the Boston.com Book Club.

More than anything, I am a man who was lucky enough to find the woman of his dreams at a very young age.
