Paul Vorstadt

A securities industry professional possessing 18 years of experience working with clients in the Toronto, Canada, area, Paul Vorstadt presently serves as Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Dundee Capital Markets. A Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCIS), he helps his clients find strategies to achieve financial independence despite the often unpredictable nature of markets and the broader economy. Paul Vorstadt has held his present position since 2011.

Prior to joining Dundee Capital Markets, Paul Vorstadt worked for TD Waterhouse in Markham, Canada, also as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager. Vorstadt started at the company as an Investment Adviser, achieving merit after his first year while developing wealth management strategies for high-net-worth families. He earned designation as an Associate Portfolio Manager in 2006, was promoted to Vice President in 2007, and earned his Portfolio Manager designation in 2010. Over his years with TD Waterhouse, Paul Vorstadt completed several training programs related to his career, including courses entitled Canadian Practices and Handbook, Professional Management Techniques, Hedge Funds Essentials, and Supervisory Options. He also earned his CFP, CIM, and FCIS designations.

Vorstadt laid the foundation for his career at Wilfrid Laurier University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1994. He has since built a strong background in the use of financial research to construct portfolios that match the desired risk levels of his clients while continually reviewing his recommendations as the markets move. In his free time, Paul Vorstadt co-chairs the St. John Rehab golf tournament and enjoys hockey and golf.
