Payam Toobian

Payam Toobian is a highly accomplished doctor and researcher who has dedicated his life to helping others. Earlier in his career, he worked at the Downstate Medical Center, where he was later recognized for his efforts with the Downstate Surgical Research Award. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society is an honor, and a commitment. Society members pledge to lead a life of professionalism, leadership, scholarship, research, and community service. Each medical school selects members from its graduating class, with a cap at 25 nominees from students and fellows, ten from faculty, and three to five from alums. Toobin joined the society in 1994, his graduation year.
