Thanks so much for stopping by Karen's Up On The Hill!

A little info about me,

I was born in New Bern, NC and moved around a great deal in my younger years ( an adventourous spirit I suppose). I finally settled in Richmond, VA more than 20 years ago, and that is where I met my husband.

My husband and I, along with our large family of rescued companion animals, recently made the epic relocation to the lovely semi- rural Chadds Ford, PA from our beloved city of Richmond, VA. for his job at Dupont.

We now live in Southwestern Pennsylvania, a little less than one hour from Philadelphia. Also known as "horse country" which tells you a few things about the area...

Our house was built in the 50’s and was the original home on about 15 or so acres of land (that land is now a small private neighborhood). It sits on a hill with an amazing view, sunrises and all. When we first moved in, I would say things like “boy, its windy up on the hill today” and it just kind of stuck. So the blog is named after my new house “Up on the Hill”.

I would love for you to join me as I decorate on a budget & do a little crafting in an effort to make this beautiful new place home, without driving my husband to the poor house.
