Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education
PBCGME is an AOA-accredited consortium consisting of over 120 postgraduate training positions in
seven programs based out of four HCA-affiliated hospitals. Our roots lie in the
first graduate medical education program in Palm Beach County,
founded in 1983. Today, PBCGME boasts nearly 1,000 inpatient beds, over 47,000 annual admissions, 24,000 surgeries and 150,000 emergency department visits per year.
PBCGME hosts residency training programs in Traditional Rotating Internship;
Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and
Psychiatry. Our Internal Medicine offers a fellowship in Dermatology.
Founded on a tradition of voluntary faculty, community
service, courtesy, respect and a holistic osteopathic philosophy of treating
patients as "a whole," PBCGME maintains very high standards for both academic
performance and professionlism.
As a result, our graduates are highly sought after by both fellowships and clinical practices, alike.
