I so despise writing these things, but of course I don't hate talking about myself. I guess you'd say I'm at odds with being humble and having a lot of hubris...which I think is one of the shared traits for Cancer/Leo cusp.
Raised in Danville, VA in July 1970, I chose to settle in Washington, DC after I spent a few semesters in 1994 in graduate school.
At George Mason University, I studied poetry in their Masters of Fine Arts program and then followed life into a non-academic environment, winding up working for the US EPA as a webmaster.
Dabbling as a freelance web & graphic designer provided the necessary easement from a lack of creative work. But never did I stop writing poetry.
A need to share my poetry began when I laid eyes on a painting by a co-worker Denny Cruz. So in 2003 I self published my first collection of poetry, god in flight (eBook, Kindle).
In addition to god in flight, I started a blog in 2011 focusing on a little bit of everything including non-sense, music, tv shows, stories about my life and raising my cats, commentaries and reviews of things that interest me, as well anything that catches my fancy. I don't consider the blog too seriously and often do not proof what I write there (except my poems, so my prose on there is to be considered rough draft).
Like I said it just a place to share things. and I often publish new poems and write about my process.
