Peter Cumminsky

I am a Connecticut Yankee, Baby Boomer and a Vietnam-Era Veteran. I've traveled quite a bit in the US - 48 States at last count (make that 49 though I slept through most of West Virginia) including Hawaii but not Alaska. I've also visited Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands along with several countries in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Carribean. I have hiked almost every major trail in the U.S. (including the Appalachian and Pacific Crest along with part of the Continental divide) and have sailed the Caribbean, the Sea of Cortez, the Gulf of Mexico, across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, and the Pacific on the West Coast and off Hawaii. I've lived in several states including New York, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, California, and Hawaii. I worked in the fields of Electronics and then Computer Technology for many years.

I am retired now and am living and cruising aboard my Tanzer 7.5m Pocket Yacht, "Dutch Nirvana", which I bought in Lake George, NY in 2001. It is my liveaboard home for cruising around The Tropics. The Tropics being anyplace where the Sun shines most of the time and Winter is but a myth. I currently home-port on the Atlantic coast of Florida and I have some land on El Dorado Ranch in the province of Baja California Norte, Mexico near the town of San Felipe on the Sea of Cortez and am thinking of building a "straw-bale" house there.
