Mrs. DeMartino
Composing a piece of writing is the building of nest. I search for twigs, shards of bark, and soggy blades of pine. The ordinary and the expected, but the necessary. But to make it Pam's perch, I scour the surroundings for that clump of matted dog hair, a soft scrap of cotton fabric, or - if the gods are looking favorably upon me - discarded pieces of wooly yarn.
