Mother and Artist in ישראל
As a child, I was always fascinated by handicraft; I used to watch my mother sewing dresses for me and my sisters, and knitting colorful sweaters for us with great skill, and was enchanted by her handiwork and especially by its characteristic colorfulness. Mom would always oblige when I asked her to teach me the crafts, and with time I became adept at them myself. Later on I also became a mother and chose to home school my three children. I did not sew clothes or knit sweaters for them, yet my hands were constantly yearning to create my own unique craft. In 2010, for the first time, I came across a photo of a needle felted fairy, and from that moment on I felt a burning need to create one just like that. I ordered a few spools of wool and several specialty needles, and the magic never waned ever since. My Studio is the heart of my home. At times it may be the kitchen table, other times it's the children's bedroom, and on other occasions it's the terrace overlooking the Sea of Galilee. My felting work is intertwined with the daily activities related to life near nature and especially my sweet kids. I derive the inspiration for my works from the world of children, from legends and nature, and each creation fills me with excitement and great pleasure. It is especially joyful for me to know that my works reach and adorn diverse homes around the world, and make happy those who wished to have one for themselves.
