Pedernales Medical Group

Pedernales Medical Group, located in the picture-perfect Texas Hill Country town of Fredericksburg, is home to a team of experienced physicians who focus on providing compassionate primary care to area residents.

Specialty areas covered by Pedernales Medical Group include internal medicine, pediatrics, and neurology. Dr. Nancy K. Thompson and Dr. Felice Howard provide primary care to people of all ages. Dr. Pamela D. Cantu provides primary care for adults, and Dr. Theresa Wiginton provides neurological care. All of the doctors are members of the Texas Medical Association. They treat patients both in the office and in the hospital, which are adjacent to one another.

Dr. Thompson, who came to Fredericksburg in 1992, completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She is a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church and founded Eisbahn, an ice-skating rink that raises money for the community, benefiting causes such as cystic fibrosis research and the Heritage School.

In 1994, Pedernales Medical Group welcomed Dr. Cantu, who completed her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Howard, who finished her residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, joined the practice in 2002, followed in 2009 by Dr. Wiginton, who did her residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio Medical Branch.
