The intersection of high-end visual storytelling and technical craft: that's where I've spent the last 15 years.
I'm a Senior Commercial Photographer and Senior Retoucher with experience across both the agency and brand sides, as well as running my own independent studio since 2009. That combination gives me a 360-degree perspective most photographers only develop one side of; I know how agencies think, how brands operate internally, and what it takes to own a production entirely solo.
My career has been defined by two things working in parallel: the meticulous craft of senior-level photography and retouching, and the hands-on leadership of high-output studio environments. I've built studio cultures and workflows from scratch at Red Creative Agency and Pro:Direct Sport, been the retouching backbone and shooting resource at Canyon Bicycles, and delivered campaigns, editorial and e-commerce for names like Harrods, Selfridges, Gucci, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo, Victoria Beckham, Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Superdry, boohooMAN and Marks & Spencer, among many others.
On set I shoot and light to the highest commercial standard - advanced strobe, flash and continuous lighting, studio and location - with a confident eye for model direction, composition and brand consistency. I've directed crews of 25+, delivered 12 magazine covers with full production ownership, and redesigned studio workflows that cut turnaround times from 10 weeks to 2.
I'm also genuinely curious about where production is heading. Generative AI (Midjourney, Nano Google Banana, ChatGPT-2.0 Image) and node-based workflows (ComfyUI, Figma Weave) are areas I'm actively exploring hands-on, alongside 3D V-Ray Renders work in Cinema 4D; part of Canyon's strategic transition to fully rendered product visualisation.
The studio is my creative home. I lead by example, invest in junior talent and care about building environments where the work gets better because the people do.
