Pedro Cortes
I did not expect to find himself typing stories on a computer, deciding which lens would produce the better photo or waiting for a podcast to finish processing. As a child, I wanted to have a scalpel in one hand and a doctorate in the other. However, the allure of the pen and the camera seduced me and so, here I am!
My name is Pedro Gabriel Cortes. I am a graduate from Florida International University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as the recipient of a minor in art. I am currently the features editor for Modern Method's Tomopop, a blog that reports on toy news and comments on modern toy culture. I have also been the host and editor of the site's podcast, the Tomocast. I am also an associate editor on Modern Method's anime and Japanese culture blog, Japanator.
Outside of Modern Method, I am the co-host and editor on Chaos Theater, the general topic podcast at MAHQ, one of the leading mecha websites out there on the internet. I also edit Laplace's Box, MAHQ's model kit and general robot toy podcast.
I'm looking for new things to challenge and expand the skills I've both picked and have been taught through out my scholastic and professional career. I look to cultivate my craft and be the best damn photographer/videographer/editor/writer out there!
