Pedro Javier González is a bilingual communications executive, with a proven track record in all aspects of content operations in the radio industry, specialized in the Hispanic market.
A strategic leader in the intersection of digital platforms and broadcast radio, Pedro Javier has specialized in expanding new media reach for radio brands in streaming, online, and social media channels while maximizing exposure, audience, ratings, sales and influence. He has a strong track record of programming, research and content management, following a team building mindset.
Pedro Javier was vice president of content for Univision Radio responsible for branding and content strategies across radio and all digital platforms for New York, Miami and Puerto Rico, among other markets. During his 13-year tenure at Univision, he also managed talent development for all radio brands.
In this role, Pedro Javier's greatest challenges were managing not just the musical mix within the station’s programming but on air talent, such as Luis Jimenez in New York, and Javier Romero and Enrique Santos in Miami. Pedro Javier also conceptualized, developed and launched the top rated multi-market morning show “El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo” for Univision's Regional Mexican stations.
Earlier in his career, Pedro Javier was the vice president of Programming for Uno Radio Group in his native Puerto Rico, where he oversaw the top 3 stations in the market at the time. Before that, he worked in several stations in Puerto Rico, working his way up the ranks from behind the microphone where he started as on air talent, when he was just 17 years old.
Pedro Javier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
