I've been a lawyer since 1981. I have been involved in my community and had the honor of representing the residents of Santa Barbara and Ventura in the Assembly from 2004 to 2010. Since 2014, I've continued my public service as the Chair of California's Little Hoover Commission. Finding answers for people's problems has been my career and my passion for a very long time. Over the last couple of years, I've provided government relations advice for one of the largest communication companies in the country and advised a health care professional organization on how to navigate complicated legislative issues. Recently I have assisted clients with water, renewable energy and environmental issues.
