Pedro Segovia was born into a family of entrepreneurs, so it’s no surprise that he always felt called to create a business he could call his own.

Pedro was born in Colombia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish Literature from Miami University. He then went on to attend Georgetown University in Washington D.C. where he earned his Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications.

Pedro currently serves as an Editorial Director at Smart Strategic Marketing where he supervises the goals, tactics, and objectives for all of the company’s print marketing communications. There he is also in charge of managing the production, content creation and editing, and graphic designs for the monthly editions of the magazine which reaches both the United States and Mexico. Pedro Segovia also works as an Editorial Consultant for Paola Manzi Consulting, a company based in Cartagena, Colombia. As an individual with over nine years’ experience in marketing and communications, Pedro has proven his worth as a competent and capable leader on a multinational scale. Pedro is also no stranger to international relations, having spent more than four years working as a professional in Colombia where he served as both the State Protocol Officer for the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Communications Program Director for Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar.

The skills Pedro Segovia developed while working in communications and marketing coupled with his passion for international relations and business lead Pedro to eventually decide to follow his dreams and his true calling and found his newest entrepreneurial venture, an import/export company called Castevia Imports. In college as an undergrad, Pedro had the opportunity to visit various coffee farms across Colombia on a trip with his history and journalism professors. While he was there, Pedro realized that he had a real opportunity to use his existing network in Colombia to begin importing coffee from Colombia into the United States. Castevia Imports is currently focusing its attention on importing Spanish and Argentinian wine into the United States, but, moving forward, Pedro Segovia and his partner plan to expand their importing business to include coffee as well, allowing the company to capitalize on the popularity of these two widely consumed beverages.
