I'm a communications specialist who has the privilege of combining my passions for writing and health and fitness in my role as managing editor at IO Media, where we produce Fitness and Dis-Chem Living Fit. I am also a freelance business and finance features writer for Business Day and Financial Mail's Investor's Monthly, and write extensively for various corporate clients and a research house. I have also served as the editor of Fitness His Edition magazine. Before that I was a personal fitness trainer and sports conditioning coach for four years, which was followed by six years in the world of marketing communications and advertising at various leading PR and advertising agencies. During this time I developed a keen interest in social media and the power of the Internet as a communications medium and was also exposed to various businesses in diverse vertical markets As such, I also gained a keen interest in macro- and micro-economics, as well as finance and the stock market. I now combine all my passions as a communications and business consultant and freelance writer, while also managing editorial and online content production at IO Media.
