Jim Pieper
To begin, you now know the true pronunciation of my last name. Peeper. Though I still force everyone to say it the American way, "Pie-per". Interestingly enough, comparisons can be drawn with the other peeper, the spring peeper, a small chorus frog.
I like to think that I tend to be an atypical person. I am a very private individual, even though I partake in social media; but believe me, the message is massaged. I am an introvert born about a century too late. I like the solitude and resourcefulness of yesteryear, but still enjoy modern-day comforts. I strive to be a polymath, to be unique and to be a better man. And though I am sporadic, humor is the key to understanding how my mind works. Lastly, above all else, I try to be the epitome of a gentleman.
Professionally, I am a Hydrologic Technician for the National Park Service, more specifically, the National Capital Region Network's Inventory & Monitoring program. After 8 years with the NPS, I realize that the federal government is probably the best fit, for my skill set. Or a think tank that doesn't mind the fact I am not an Ivy League graduate.
Publically, I am a Brother of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and a graduate of the University of Virginia's College at Wise. I am also a member of the New Dominion Choraliers, a local community choir.
Personally, I am a hodgepodge of interests; performing with a choir, hiking trails, collecting sports cards, watching Broadway musicals, or enjoying Seth Macfarlane's cartoons.
Privately, if I have decided that you should get to know me personally, it is important to understand that publically, I try to conduct my actions as professionally as possible.
Positively, I enjoy making life a challenge, but I always end up waiting forever.
