Hi, I'm Irene, I am 19 years old girl, living in the Netherlands and am currently studying Urban Planning. Over the past two years I have developed a passion for baking and cooking, and I have come to enjoy cooking even more since I've become a vegetarian. Apart from that I love to read, write and exploring new things in general, though my shyness can be an obstacle along the way.
The purpose of this blog is to share my baking and cooking experiences with you, but I'd also like to share the vegetarian food I find in restaurants and such. I hope you will enjoy reading this blog as much as I enjoy writing it.
Other than that, I'd like to share with you the origin of the name of my blog, 'The Bear Necessities'. 'The Bear Necessities' is the cutest little shops in the beautiful town of Bruges. It exclusively sells stuffed animals (and a few dolls). I came across there while I was on vacation in Bruges, and I just felt like this shop may just be a near to perfect description of me. It is a cute little store, with a introvert attitude, and just has a sweet and kind atmosphere. Yet it is hidden behind more extravagant buildings and shops. And next to that, I love teddy bears, and honestly, who doesn't?
