Matt lives in the city of Angels.

His feature film"Pure Shock Value"(produced by FURIOUSFILMS, LLC) recently screened at the Hollywood fringe festival, where it was the "centerpiece film". His upcoming webseries "AGANG" (produced by STEELBEARD LLC) will launch summer 2012. Matt was a staff writer on the short-lived MTV series "Skins" and directed several webisodes of the controversial series. Matt has several projects in development and is currently shooting the horror film "SHE".

Matt is the writer-in-residence for Furious Theatre Company. (Los Angeles, CA) His plays have been produced around the country and overseas to critical acclaim and include Cockroach Nation, Terminus Americana, An Impending Rupture of the Belly, Pure Shock Value, Freak Storm and recently the stage adaptions of In the Heat of the Nightand The Basketball Diaries. His plays are availabe from Original Works Publishing, Broadway Play Publishing and Samuel French. He is the winner of the Actor's Theater of Louisville's Heidman Award and a Backstage Garland Award for Playwriting, and was nominated for an "LA Weekly" Award and a Los Angeles Ovation Award. He received his B.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State and his M.F.A. in Playwriting from UCLA, where he currently teaches undergraduate Playwriting.
