Pierre Eliezer

Pierre is a recent graduate of Iona College. While pursuing his bachelors degree in social work at Iona, he found a way to include others in school activities and sought to help enrich other students experiences in college. At Iona he was the founder of Jam Band and Life Talk. Jam Band is a school band which focused on playing positive songs at different school events to bring an optimistic outlook to other classmates world perspective and the world around them. These songs featured mostly christian artists, non clerical tunes, and a few originals. Similar to Jam Band, Life Talk was created to help bridge the gap between life and faith. It also helped to guide students who attended towards Hope, as well as having a positive outlook at the different challenges and joys that are apparent to life. From internships, to friends; jobs, to volunteer opportunities, social work has been in everything he does. Pierre will be pursuing his masters degree in the fall of 2014. He is currently a head coach at an all boys high school, is on his way to becoming a personal trainer, and a social worker.
