I am a scientist (biochemist and molecular biologist) from Quebec City. I grew up in Chicoutimi but moved to Quebec City to study at Laval University in biochemistry. I then moved to Montreal to pursue a Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine at McGill University. Following graduation, I went to Omaha, Nebrsaka for my postdoctoral studies. I also spent 9 months at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. I finally came back to Quebec City to take on a position at Centre de Recherche du CHUL, working on the genetics of myotonic dystrophy (Steinert's disease).
In light of the difficult job market for researchers, I have enrolled in a computer science program at Cegep de Ste-Foy to become a computer programmer/analyst.
