Known on social media by the name '@Penderonisha', Kristen is a "whimsical Black girl" and scholar impassioned by a desire to challenge the status quo through research, blogging, and Art. Kristen's topics of interests include feminism, race & culture, sexuality, and well-being.

Kristen will earn an M.S.Ed. in Community and Social Change from the University of Miami this coming May 2016. Following the completion of this milestone, Kristen will then journey to North Carolina State University to begin a PhD program in Applied Social and Community Psychology Fall 2016.
