Penny Shipway

Penny Shipway is an Australian freelance journalist with more than 10 years’ experience as both a journalist and editor in newspapers, magazines and online. She climbed the ranks at News Corp, editing many of Brisbane's Quest Newspapers, and was a hard news journalist, breaking stories from the Australian Associated Press (AAP) Brisbane bureau. She even enjoyed a stint as media advisor to the Hon. Peter Dutton MP. Now as a freelancer, Penny focuses on corporate writing for clients such as Flight Centre, Bupa, Maurice Blackburn and TFE Hotels. She also writes for lifestyle channels such as Mamamia, The Motherish, MindBodyGreen, Salt Magazine, Urbanlist, Metropolist, and Kids on the Coast/Kids in the City Mags.
