Penny Vo

I am in my penultimate year, studying a Bachelor of Commerce- majoring in Economics. While undertaking my studies, I have discovered a profound interest in Macroeconomics and Monetary economics, contract theory, financial institutions and services. In particular, I am eager to work within the Government sector (Intermediation and Banking).

Despite undertaking a career path towards an Economics field, I want to emphasise the value of my previous teaching experience, because it has significantly enhanced my scope of understanding and ability to connect with people.

Most importantly, working with students of diverse backgrounds, cultures and learning abilities has taught me the rationale of empathy- which has driven my passion for nurturing the learning and growth of individuals, which has become one of my greatest strengths as a person.

In summary, this teaching experience has also reinforced my passion for learning, hence, propelling me to further pursue a degree in an Economics. Overall, after the completion of my degree, I hope to pursue an honours, while further undergoing work and research surrounding public policy in the Government sector.
