Jennifer Perry-Lupenette

Hello, I am Jenny...Or better known an Mrs. Perr-Lu, I’m a secondary school teacher living in Ontario. I have taught grades 1,2,3,6,7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 and am currently teaching Drama, Dance and SERT. As a mom of two I understand the uniquness of individual learners and how important authentic and inspiring teaching practices are to inspire and engage young learners. Recently, my students developed a collaborative origional script based around the social anxieties they face on a daily basis, collaborating with dance and music classes to create a visceral piece. As a choreographer, director and artistic director I believe it is imperative that we get our students to collaborate and gain a sense of community in our schools. I beleive that dramatic arts is a way to empower, inspire, connect and build confidence of youth providing a skill set that will help them cross curricular, socially, emotionally and in the workplace.
