Petar Cvetkovic is the Founder and Chairman of the UK based investment firm, Welford Investments. Founded in 2018, the firm specialises in equity holdings in growth companies, ownership of freehold commercial properties and advisory work.

Petar, a fluent speaker of French and Serbo Croat, started the firm following thirty-six years leading companies in the logistics industry. Petar’s leadership in this industry, earnt him the title of The Times’ Business Hotshot, which was awarded to him in 2014, while he was the CEO of DX Group. At this time, Petar was also named as Turnaround Professional of the Year by the Institute for Turnaround, a leading professional body for accredited experts who drive step change in organisations of all types.

Over the course of Petar Cvetkovic’s professional career he has held numerous leadership positions and gained a reputation for driving profits and managing strategic growth. Petar has held the position of Managing Director at DFDS Logistics, Norbert Dentressangle and City Link, and also holding the position of Chief Executive Office (CEO) of DX Group and Target Express.

Outside of the Logistics industry Petar Cvetkovic has held numerous positions as a Non-Executive Director, including with the international online retailer boohoo.com. Petar played a pivotal role in founding the company before assuming the position of a Non-Executive Director. Petar has also been a Non-Executive Director for Crawford Healthcare, which supplies the UK’s National Health Service with vital dermatology and woundcare products.

In Petar’s current role as Chairman of Welford Investments, he also acts as Chairman for the Individual Protection Service, which allows individuals to protect themselves from their information being shared with marketing companies against their knowledge.

Alongside this work, Petar works with Spok’d, an app-based business that provides training guides for avid cyclists; and Cell Point Mobile, a B2B technology company that services both the sales and the payment side of the digital travel channel.

Outside of his professional life, Petar Cvetkovic is a fan of Arsenal Football Club and Leicester Tigers Rugby club. Asa former rugby player, Petar is involved with the Leicester Tigers through his sponsorship of the team, as well as his ongoing support for The Matt Hampson Foundation – a former Leicester Tigers and England youth player who became paraplegic following the collapse of a scrum during an England training camp.
