Welcome to the life of ME! My first passion is my son and after that, I'm all about the animals! I have volunteered and worked in shelters since I was 12years old. I have since pursued a career in the animal field. I got my certification as a Veterinarian Technician back in 2004. Most of my work has been in the fields of spay/neuter and shelters. You will meet the nicest and the strangest people in an animal shelter. You also get to see some of the weirdest stuff on animals and you get to help the people and the animals who really need it. My career path has been a rewarding one and I wouldn't change it for anything. I did do some work in the lab animal field for a bit but shelter work was my thing. That is also where I learned all the tips and tricks to help an animal.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome back in 2008. I have struggled to keep my career going but I eventually had to give it up. I truly enjoyed my job and had some depressing moments after I left it. I kept trying to think of different things I could do but my Fibromyalgia pain kept holding me back.

Then......It hit me!!! I remembered back when I was married, my husband at the time use to get mad at me because people would recognize me in the store and stop me and ask me questions. I would be there for at least 45min explaining things and offering tips. So, I decided to start a blog and offer people the advice and tips that I learned over the years. Don't worry, I'm not with that selfish man anymore. My current boyfriend doesn't mind at all when I talk to people. It's wonderful to be with someone who shares the same passion as I do when it comes to animals.

I hope to one day be able to foster animals again. I know my son enjoys helping me with the fosters and it's a wonderful feeling to have something come to you that isn't adoptable or is on its death bed and to be able to give it life and a home again!
