I’m interested in ideas, and whether those ideas come from children, teenagers or adults, or people from different economic, racial, or social backgrounds, or from American society or elsewhere in the world, I don’t care.

The idea is the important thing to me and every idea – good, bad, and everything in between – is interesting. An idea doesn’t exist until it’s expressed -- verbally, written, visually, or through sound.

I’m interested in experiences and have the same sentiment as above: I don’t care whose experience it is. They’re all valuable, they’re all unique, they’re all telling. The 13-year-old who writes about their life is just as valuable and interesting to me as Bill Clinton’s memoirs.

I’m interested in data and with the maturity of the internet there’s so much out there. For example, Americans use more water on their lawns then on corn, soybeans, alfalfa, orchards, cotton, pastureland, wheat and hay…combined. Interesting.

My books, Franchising Dreams and an untitled upcoming one, are non-fiction. That’s the world I live in and write about.
