I have been fortunate enough to work with inspiring communities from across the world over the last twenty five years. All have convinced me of the importance of citizens realising their right to be able to influence the decisions that effect their neighbourhoods.

My work has enabled me to use a diversity of approaches which bring citizens (and those in positions of power) together to share experiences, build community and plan for the future.

I plan, design, manage and facilitate Citizens Juries (I've facilitated over twenty), Participatory Budgeting, Participatory Appraisal, Asset Based Community Development, Action Learning Sets and processes that bring together large numbers of people (e.g. Open Space, Future Search). Over the past few months I have worked on a series of Citizens Juries in Blackpool on health and well-being, with a diverse group of young people in Blackburn looking at hate crime and with agencies responding to the Jersey historic child abuse scandal.

I work freelance, as a Director of Shared Future and as a partner with PB Partners

I work part time for Campaign Bootcamp helping design their Everyday Activism programme supporting local people develop their campaign skills.
