Peter De Maegd

Peter De Maegd is an independent film producer who's turning his focus on the new opportunities of the converging media.

Over the last few years, Peter was involved in the production and marketing of the various Caviar Films releases such as Dirty Mind, Left Bank, SM Judge and My Queen Karo. With Caviar, he just launched the participative drama series The Spiral in co-production with the public broadcasters of Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, France and the Netherlands.

His own production company Potemkino serves as a laboratory for new talent and challenging ideas. Potemkino's first feature film Small Gods by Dimitri Karakatsanis premiered at the Venice Film festival in 2007. The spirit of innovation now moves the company toward transmedia projects such as the interactive documentaries Where is Gary?, Miss Homeless, MONSTER and Jean wordt Vlaming.

He often gives lectures at workshops, conferences and universities on innovative formats and storytelling for the converged media.
