I have been in Canberra for the past 35 years, and in the ICT industry for around 20 years. I have seen the internet come in, many brands and companies disappear and have always been passionate about the ICT industry, the massive amount of learning we do every day and the new technologies like Social Media that allow me to connect to people all over the world - via twitter communities, linkedin communities and the numerous blogs I write or contribute to. I am enjoying the ride as the art of selling becomes more organic and digital connections more profound. The numbers of new ways that I can connect with new contacts, visit sites that are of interest and generally learn, grow and explore the new ways to deal with my clients, family and friends is truly amazing. I have moved out of a selling role at my day job, and am now well situated to be able to better help people. I have been working for an audiovisual company for two years, as a product manager and, recently, as a quality manager. This culminates my need to help people in a new, positive direction.
