Peter Marland

Manchester

I have worked in social housing for over 20 years. I am currently Director of Housing at Ashton Pioneer Homes in 2004 but started my housing career as a Housing Officer in Salford.

I am committed to social housing and I have strong social conscience. Having a strong neighbourhood Agenda has always been important to me. I am very passionate about communities as I believe it is vital to effective housing management. In my current role I have developed partnerships with a number of private and voluntary organisations to improve local neighbourhoods.

In recent years I helped Ashton Pioneer Homes win the Housing Excellence, UK Customer Service Organisation of the Year in 2008. In the same year I supported Linda Fletcher to become TPAS UK Tenant of the Year.

I have a proven track record of improving performance and service standards at a number of Housing Associations. I have a real understanding of the issues affecting stock transfer organisations and I have a great deal of experience of managing change, particularly in estate management and customer service teams.
