Peter Schmitz

I started living in 1959.

Studied Biology and Philosophy. Was musician for some years and wrote and directed musical theatre.

Produced and directed a lot of commissioned videos, a.o. on multicultural housing projects and architecture, pharmaceutics and two on development aid in Bhutan.

Now focused on making documentaries and video portraits. And leading Socratic interviews and conversations.

In production a.o. a documentary on Moluccan theatre in the Netherlands.

Developed a workshop to make philosophically animations (stop motion), for Musea and schools.
