Change Maker in the United States
Known for my heart of a lion, and my lifetime ban from the zoo.
I was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in UBC's Family Housing for students with dependents. That said, it was beautiful, with nearly every household in the same boat and everyone having at least one child (it was a prerequisite to live there). Forests, parks, and no cars, meant tons of socialization and exploration.
I would leave UBC to go on adventures with my grandmother around the city, and on occasion leave the city with other families to explore the Pacific Northwest (basically more woods). My grandmother would say that I had to check out every bug, and she would let me, patiently standing with 1 of hundreds of ziplock bags in her legendary purse. Other families would exclaim that by the age of 10 I could eat an entire pizza by myself. Some things never change.
Pizza aside, I've dedicated myself to other things since; building an investment research practice with an international clientele, co-leading a non-profit in Canada, and now leading a larger one in the US. I'm envisioning the concept of a life-skills school, and building a global empathy movement.
There are so many beautiful minds out there, so if you're up to learn from one another, reach out at the blue button above (it's just my email), and I'll reach back.
