Peter Dorward

Peter Dorwardcurrently Head of Global Client Management for Scottish Widows Investment Management (SWIP). He has developed and is now implementing SWIP's client management strategy, a more disciplined and focused approach to delivering deeper client relationships and adding real value as trusted advisors to investors and to the business. Previously as Chief Executive Officer for SWIP Saudi Asset Management (SWIPSAM), a joint venture between SWIP and Manar Financial Investments, Peter established the business and then led strategy implementation, the overall system of control, performance and day to day management of SWIPSAM. Prior to this as Director of Strategic Initiatives, Peter was instrumental in the development of SWIP’s business in the Middle East, having sole responsibility in the business for developing and implementing the joint venture asset management business in the KSA. Peter is a highly motivated and inspiring leader, who combines the values of the business with personal integrity and commitment. His drive for quality of investment product and broad access to a wide range of markets to deliver and exceed client expectations, together with his extensive market, distribution and investment product knowledge and importantly his experience and focus on management of risk in an effective governance framework enable him to deliver successfully against client and business expectations. Peter has over 30 years experience in the retail and institutional market. His previous roles have included: responsibility for developing Institutional Business in Europe, specifically the Netherlands and Denmark, and the Middle East; account management and intermediary sales roles within the Sales and Marketing division of Scottish Widows Group before becoming a National Account Manager in the intermediary sales division. Peter holds an Investment Management Certificate and completed his MBA at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot Watt University
