Peter M. Samburu

I am the Managing Director of Spatial Plan Consulting Services Limited, a private in located in Nairobi. I have a Masters degree in Project Planning and Management, a Masters degree in Design for Sustainable Development from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.

Further, i posses an undergraduate degree in Spatial Planning (First Class Honors and university valedictorian in the year 2016) and an International certificate in Integrated Water Resources Management: Policy & Practice from East Central University, Ada -Oklahoma, USA.

I chose Spatial Planning, Project Planning and Urban Design profession because I think it’s one way to building a better future for our cities amidst overpopulation and over-consumption of limited resources. I want to concentrate on projects that work in synchrony with the built and natural environment in order to provide innovative and sustainable solutions through planning and design.

With increasing urbanization trends in Kenya, I think it’s time we focus on making our cities sustainable, livable and resilient for all its inhabitants. Urban Design and Spatial Planning has a very important role in creating green and resilient Cities which are self-reliant and can mitigate/ adapt to environmental changes and disturbances
