With an extensive US Navy background and current responsibilities as a Naval Reserves commanding officer, Peter Zeller also holds a leadership position with Honeywell International, Inc., in Charlotte, NC. As director of strategic sourcing and indirect global business partner, Charlotte, NC’s Peter Zeller has spearheaded worldwide efforts to ramp up the manufacture of personal protective equipment during the pandemic, such as high-tech filters, N95 masks, face masks, and goggles.

Previously serving as director of procurement with Honeywell’s Americas Professional Services Center of Excellence, Mr. Zeller was tasked with ensuring productivity for the business’ stakeholders. Areas of focus included the aerospace industry, engineering services, and temporary labor. In 2017, his team generated significant corporate savings in the productivity sphere.

Mr. Zeller has held leadership roles in the US Navy for more than two decades, and was deputy commander with a task group in Djibouti, Africa, from 2017 to 2018. He oversaw Coastal Riverine Squadron efforts to support seaward security goals within a forward strategic port in the Gulf of Tadjoura. He also has an extensive academic background. As adjunct associate professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus, he taught courses such as US Military History from 1865 and Historical Principles of Warfare.
