Peter Aytug
A seasoned real estate investor, Peter Aytug has been buying properties in New York and New Jersey. In 1992, he expanded his business to include commercial mortgage lending. The lending business concentrated on short-term commercial mortgages on investment properties in the New York tri-state area. Peter Aytug managed one of the largest private commercial lenders in the New York tri-state region. Mr. Aytug funded more than 3,000 loans, totaling $1.17 billion. He also began purchasing non-performing residential mortgages and successfully liquidated many of these debt instruments in the course of the last two years. The son of an ambassador, Mr. Aytug spent his childhood in Taiwan, Japan, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. After graduating from the American International School of The Hague in the Netherlands, he attended Ohio State University. Two years later, Peter Aytug transferred to New York University in New York City. Mr. Aytug earned a Bachelor of Science in 1985. While in school, he launched his first business, Transaction Control Systems (TCS), a consulting firm whose client list included the Wall Street investment giants Merrill Lynch and Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley Smith Barney).
