Peter Black

Peter Black has close to a decade of executive leadership experience, during which he has focused on equity hedge funds. In this time, he served as the director of research at Wynnefield Capital, where he was also a portfolio manager. With the company, Peter Black managed investments across three portfolios with a total value of $500 million. During this time, he also served as a mentor for new analysts.

After almost 15 years with the company in various roles, Mr. Black left to establish Philanthropy Capital Management, where he subsequently served as managing partner and chief executive officer. Also serving as a portfolio manager, he grew the firm to generate annual returns of 17.2 percent. Working on behalf of sophisticated investors, Mr. Black oversaw marketing strategy development, risk management, and investment sizing, among other activities. He also ensured that 20 percent of the firm’s profits were donated to charity.

Aside from investing, Peter Black enjoys golf, tennis, and yoga, among other hobbies. A Fordham Gabelli School of Business graduate, he has a master of business administration in finance and accounting.
