Peter C. Kurth

Possessing more than three decades of experience, Peter C. Kurth serves as President of The Peter C. Kurth Office of Architecture and Planning, PC, AIA in Mount Kisco, New York. Prior to his professional endeavors, Peter C. Kurth developed an interest in architecture early in his academic career. Attending Brooklyn Technical High School, Peter C. Kurth graduated in the top 1 percent of his class. He was also number one in his class at Pratt Institute, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Architecture in 1972. Furthering his education, Peter Kurth attended the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Urban Design in 1973. From 1987 to 1998, Peter C. Kurth functioned in the field of design, construction, and development. In his capacity with Custom Land Development Group II, Peter C. Kurth specialized in turning vacant land into estates through a partnership. During this period, Peter C. Kurth also partnered with Development Collaborative, Inc., investing in the development eight homes in Bedford, N.Y. From 1988 to 1995, Peter Kurth functioned as President and Corporate Officer at Kurth & Kurth Architects, P.C., formerly Milowitz-Kurth Associates, Architects, P.C. In addition to his work with Kurth & Kurth Architects, P.C., Peter C. Kurth supervised residential and commercial projects at KRK Construction Management, Inc. from 1992 to 1998. The American Institute of Architects (AIA) awarded Peter C. Kurth a regional award for unique home renovations in 1996. Representing the Westchester area, he won AIA's Hudson Valley Award for Excellence in Renovation in 1993 and second place in Chemical Bank's home renovation contest in 1992. Outside of the office, Peter C. Kurth stays updated on his profession by traveling to places of architectural significance. He attends ostgraduate seminars with the AIA, Peter C. Kurth also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity.
