Pete Daniels is a high-achieving educator with ten years of experience in teaching and mentoring youth. He currently teaches elementary and middle school Spanish at The Langley School in McLean, VA, as well as serving as the World Language Department Head, sixth grade coordinator, middle school advisor, and sports coach. Señor Daniels, as his students know him, is student-centered, enthusiastic and intuitive in the classroom. He is currently working to improve the quality of differentiated instruction within the World Language Department at Langley. One of his big opportunities for growth this year has been to meet the individual needs of his learners, as students who speak Spanish in the home share the classroom with students who are learning Spanish for the first time. Pete continuously searches for inventive and authentic demonstrations of learning that prepare young minds to meet the challenges of the 21st century. He recently entered the Twittersphere @ProfePete in order to expand his understanding of educational trends and opinions. Pete will graduate from the Johns Hopkins School of Education with a Master of Science in Education, in addition to graduate certificates in Educational Leadership for Independent Schools, and Advanced Methods for Differentiated Instruction and Inclusive Education.
