Peter Empey

I love to help people and to see other people do there work better; I love to teach and to enable. These are my passions, my skills are in data visualization, analysis, process development and making pie. I try to combine my passion with my skills as much as possible, and yes that means bringing pie to people to help them do their work.

So far, my career has given me the opportunity to learn a lot about software development. I have worked on and lead teams to develop new applications to support decision making and using these applications have given me a strong appreciation for data informed decision making. Leading me to expand my education to include an understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Science, because sometimes even pie is not enough.

My interest in computer graphics and digital art have given me an increased appreciation for well-presented information. This appreciation had led me to improve my skills in visualization and communication of information.

My family and my faith are foundation and my purpose. They are the reason I work and the reason I try to make myself better, and it is the support of my family that allows me to succeed.
