I am a translator and writer with interests in culture, politics, and the public sphere, and with bylines in Salon, Inquisitr, and other publications.

Formerly a professor at Haverford College and University of Pennsylvania, and 2009 Andrew W. Mellon Regional Fellow in the Humanities, I teach and write on culture and philosophy, and am editor and co-author of The Force of the Virtual: Deleuze, Science and Philosophy (University of Minnesota Press).

Residing in Czech Republic since 2016, I currently work as translator for the Institute of Czech Literature, Charles University Faculty of Arts, Museum Kampa, and other cultural institutions.
